Fourth Grade’s Main Theme

Activity

Students will create paper quilt squares

  1. Gather materials. Glue sticks. Markers or colored pencils. Different colored paper or cardstock cut to 5 ¾ ” squares one per student. Equal number of wrapping baby print paper squares cut to 5” and then same number of 4” solid color squares preferably cut out with scalloped scissors.

  2. Place the largest square first, center and glue the square with the baby print on top. 

  3. In the smallest square write verse from Jeremiah 1:5 at an angle. This last square will be placed as a rhombus/diamond with the points touching in the center of the medium square to create an illusion.

  4. Glue the last square with scripture passage. 

  5. Make sure students write their name in the back of their largest square. 

  6. Done!

    *Note: You may want to keep the quilt squares of each child to display on a bulletin board in the classroom.

  • Cardstock (square) Optional: Blue for boys and pink for girls (1 per child)

  • Quilt material (previously cut)

  • Glue sticks

  • Markers / Color pencils

  • Scalloped Paper (1 per child)

  • Bible verses to choose / or Optional Bible verse (with design) * can be printed and glued or just written by the kids
